There has been quite a buzz this week about the Monday Mile! The initiative began in 2012 with a joint proclamation issued by the Mayor of Syracuse and Onondaga County Executive proclaiming September 10th as Move it Monday Day! This proclamation set in motion the installation of one mile walking routes throughout the city and county to support people in getting active and moving more.
Spring has returned to Upstate New York! After a bitterly cold, snowy past few months there is nothing better than enjoying a few extra hours of sunshine, warmer temperatures and watching the landscape come back to life. A great way to enjoy the season is to get out and walk a Monday Mile. We are introducing two new Monday Mile routes this spring, at Upstate University Hospital’s Community campus and at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. Continue Reading
