Healthy Monday Syracuse, a major initiative of the Lerner Center for Public Health Promotion, offers weekly prompts and programs to support people, and organizations, in starting and sustaining healthy behaviors with a goal to end chronic, preventable diseases.
The Lerner Center partners with students, researchers, and citizens providing the foundation for respectful community engagement to identify needs, develop programming and deploy collaborative initiatives. It is the mission of the Center to improve the health of the community through service, research, education as well as advocacy and policy.
The Lerner Center expands upon the partnership between Syracuse University and the Monday Campaigns, which began in 2006 with the launch of Healthy Monday initiatives developed by the Newhouse School of Public Communications. The Center is a part of a network of three Lerner Centers, with teams at Columbia University and Johns Hopkins.
Healthy Monday Syracuse welcomes opportunities to participate in media interviews and having our programs and events filmed or photographed. In order to interview, film or photograph any Healthy Monday Syracuse program or event, you must first contact and receive permission from our team.
To help you get the best story, we ask that you contact us at least 72 hours in advance of your desired interview, photography/filming. This policy gives us time to prepare and contact program instructors and participants for their approval and it helps you get the most accurate information.
Thank you for understanding!
