The National Culinary Review has featured the Meatless Monday campaign in its November/December 2017 issue! The article by Jan Greenberg highlights how Meatless Monday started from a World War II era practice in rationing to a national movement embraced by the prestigious James Beard Foundation and celebrity headliners such as Oprah.

Meatless Monday has gained traction nationally since it was launched in 2003 by the movement’s founder, Sid Lerner, one of the original “Mad Men” of the advertising world. Lerner’s then newfound passion for marketing healthy eating has helped bring about a cultural shift in how society thinks about eating plant-based foods and it’s affect on our health as well as the greater social impact.
